Medical Intensive Care Unit Renovations
Contractor to provide all labor, equipment, supervision and materials to complete renovations to Medical Intensive Care Unit at VAMC, Asheville, NC. Work includes general construction and renovation of approximately 11,000 SF to accommodate a new 13-bed MICU. This procurement is 100% set aside for service disabled veteran owned small businesses. Firms who met this set-aside must request drawings in writing. Telephone requests will not be honored. A deposit for drawings in the amount of $125.00 shall be provided with the written request and shall be in the form of a money order or certified check made payable to the Department of Veterans Affairs and mailed to the attention of Helen Kohler, Contracting Officer, Bldg 15, VA Medical Center, 1100 Tunnel Rd, Asheville, NC 28805. There are fifteen (15) sets of drawings available and will be issued on a first come, first-served basis until the supply is exhausted. After bid opening and upon receipt of drawings, the check will be returned to the requestor. The NAICS code for this procurement is 236220. The estimated dollar value of this procurement is between $2,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The specifications will be uploaded on/about June 27, 2006. Drawings will be mailed same day. A pre-bid conference and walk through will be held July 12, 2006 at 2:00 pm in Bldg 15, Room 330 Conference Room. This project as a 120 calendar day bid acceptance time. Phase 1 of this project will overlap the completion of another project. Therefore, the notice to proceed may be delayed. Government-wide numbered note 29 applies.
