Default siesmic mitigation project to include hazardous materials abatement, demolition, site

All work shall be performed at Portland VA Medical Center’s Vancouver, WA campus. Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment and materials to complete the VA's seismic mitigation project. Trades include hazardous material abatement, building and site demolition, site work, earthwork, mechanical, electrical and general construction. Work shall be done in such a manner as to protect surrounding structures and avoid interference with VA operations outside the work site. Contractor shall perform all work in accordance with the contract drawings and specifications. The solicitation will be issued pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. Applicable NAICS Codes are 237110, 237310, 238910 and 562910. The estimated price range is between $2 million and $5 million. The VA anticipates issuing the solicitation (including specifications and drawings) on or about 6/30/06. The date and time of the site-visit will be noted in the solicitation. It is anticipated that the total time to complete the project will be approximately 600 days.
