Environmental Remediation -Tanana, Alaska
Environmental remediation work at the former Alaskan Native Health Service Hospital compound in Tanana, Alaska consisting of the following two items - Item #1: pre-abatement inspection, asbestos abatement, and development of an asbestos management plan for 5 occupied buildings on the compound; and decommission of a fire suppression system; and Item #2: demolition and removal of eight 20,000 gallon and one 22,000 gallon above ground steel fuel storage tanks, and locating and uncovering a sub-grade monitoring well casing. A Request for Quotations and all related documents will be made available per FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, only at FedBizOpps via the Internet at http://www.fbo.gov/ under the above solicitation number. The RFQ will be released on or about May 31, 2006. Up to 2 awards may be made - one contractor may be hired to perform both items or different contractors may be hired to perform each of the two items. Item #1 will be totally set-aside for Small Businesses and Item #2 will be totally set-aside for HubZone Small Businesses. Qualified firms may submit quotes for one or both items. The NAICS code/size for Item #1 is 562910/$13.0 million and the NAICS code/size for Item #2 is 238910/$13.0 million. The total estimate for both items is between $250,000 and $500,000. All work is to be completed within 90 days of award.
