Default 2nd BCT Barracks Complex, Phase 1, Ft. Campbell, KY

This project is a US Army Corps of Engineers project using the new MILCON Transformation methodology. This project is the first phase of a 4 phase project. Work under this Design / Build project consists of the complete design and partial construction of the site development for the 2nd BCT Barracks Complex, the complete design and construction of Barracks for 328 Soldiers, a Company Operations Facility for one company, a Dining Facility to feed 800-1300 soldiers per meal seven days a week 52 weeks a year, and the deconstruction of 32 bunkers at Ft. Campbell, KY, complete with associated supporting utilities, storm drainage, communications, electric, HVAC, fire protection, paving, walks , curbs & gutters, access drives, exterior lighting, site improvements and landscaping. The Barracks facilities are intended to be similar both functionally and technically to Apartment facilities in the private sector community surrounding the Installation. The Company Operations Facilities are intended to be similar both functionally and technically to Office/Warehouse facilities in the private sector community surrounding the Installation. The Dining Facility is intended to be similar both functionally and technically to College/Corporate Cafeteria in the private sector community surrounding the Installation. This solicitation is a Design/Build Best Value solicitation process. The evaluation criteria consist of Performance Capability (Organization-Business Management Plan, Specialized Experience, Past Performance, Key Personnel and Preliminary Schedule), Design Information (Building Functional and Aesthetics, Building Systems and Material Quality, Site Design and Sustainability Requirements), Price an d Pro-Forma Information. Solicitation is to be issued on or approximately 7 June 2006 with proposals due on or approximately 19 July 2006, 3:00pm (local time). The NAICS for this project is 236220 with $31.0 million size limit. THIS PROJECT IS SET ASID E FOR 8A FIRMS ONLY. This project is available by downloading from the Internet only. The project specification files are Portable Document Format (PDF) files and can be viewed, navigated, or printed using Adobe Acrobat Reader. The drawing files are in CAL format and can be viewed, navigated, or printed using MaxView Reader. To download the files for this project requires registration at the Federal Technical Data Solutions (FedTeDS) website http://www.fedteds.gov. Downloads are available only through the FedTeDS website. This announcement serves as the advance notice for this project. AMENDMENTS WILL BE AVAILABLE FROM THE ABOVE WEBSITE BY DOWNLOAD ONLY.
