Default Wolf Creek Civilian Conservation Center - Gilde, OR

Description

This project consists of the phased construction of new facilities at the Wolf Creek Civilian Conservation Center, located in Glide, Oregon. Phase (1) consists of the construction of a new water treatment plant, all associated water distribution piping; Phase (2) consists of the demolition of the existing water treatment plant and one building, and the construction of a new dormitory of approximately 20,500 square feet; Phase (3) consists of the demolition of three buildings and the construction of a pedestrian plaza. Between Phase (2) and Phase (3), the Owner will transition from the existing dormitories to the new dormitory in approximately thirty (30) days. The period of performance for completion is 723 days, with substantial completion for Phase (1) to be achieved in 208 calendar days from the notice to proceed; the substantial completion for Phase (2) should be achieved in 336 calendar days from the substantial completion of Phase One; and the substantial completion for Phase (3) should be achieved in 90 calendar days from the time the Owner completes the transition into the new dormitory. The total estimated cost range of construction is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. Initial plans and specifications will be available on November 9, 2005 only from the Architect/Engineer firm, Lombard Conrad Architects, P.A., 1221 Shoreline Lane, Boise, Idaho 83702. Contact Mr. Steve Christiansen at (208) 345-6677 for additional information. Collect calls will not be accepted. It is emphasized that requests for plans and specifications should be directed to the A/E firm listed above to ensure proper handling of requests. Requests must be in writing and a $200.00 bid-deposit is required which is refundable when plans and specifications are returned in good condition as determined by the Government. This bid-deposit must be in the form of certified check, cashiers check, or money order made payable to the U.S. Department of Labor and submitted to the A/E firm named above at the time of request. Please provide your EIN number (Tax ID number) on each check and/or money order. Failure to do so may result in your deposit not being refunded. Requests subject to the stated bid-deposit amount will be limited to the issuance of one (1) complete set per request from any interested party. Plans and specifications will be made available for pick up at the office of the A/E, or may be arranged for delivery at an additional charge. Any additional shipping charges must be pre-paid and COD requests will not be accepted. All requests will be answered on a first-come, first-serve basis until the initial supply is exhausted. For additional sets requested from interested parties subject to bid-deposit requirements, or for requests made after the supply is exhausted, a non-refundable fee, not to exceed the actual cost of reproduction of the IFB documents (to be determined by the Contracting Officer), plus a shipping charge based on individual requests (if applicable), will be required to obtain the IFB documents. A Pre-Bid Walk-thru is scheduled for November 17, 2005 at 1:00PM (local) at the project site. This will be the only opportunity to visit the job site prior to submission of bids. The Bid Opening is scheduled for December 8, 2005 at 11:00 AM (local) at the office of the A/E. PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS MUST BE REGISTERED IN THE CENTRAL CONTRACTOR REGISTRATION (CCR). Information regarding registration can be found at http://www.ccr.gov.
