Blackwood Canyon Bridge
This project consists of the demolition and removal of an existing concrete low water crossing, culvert and gabion structures, and construction of a bridge and naturalized channel in this location. Specific activities will include, but are not limited to, the following: construction of temporary detour roads, culverts and detour signing, bridge construction, supply and installation of bridge railing and approach railing, construction of paved approach roadway, supply and stockpile of logs, boulders, and other rock, subject to weed-free certification for all imported materials; removal of the existing concrete low water crossing and culvert, and disposal of resulting material; excavation of existing channel to lines and grades; placement of boulders and other materials; placement and maintenance of temporary diversions, sediment basins and other erosion control measures and adherence to best management practices; and maintenance of traffic control measures, and other measures to protect public safety within the project area. The project is located on the Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit, PlacerCounty, Township15NRange 16E, section 34, Latitude 39, 10519N, Longitude 120.19646W. Price range is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Estimated start work date July 1, 2006, contract time 240 Days. Estimated solicitation upload date is May 8, 2006.
