Orleans Waste Water Treatment - Humboldt County, CA
This project consists of demolition, earthwork, site utilities, septic, and construction of a recirculating sand/gravel wastewater treatment facility for the United States Department of Agriculture Forest Service. The work consists of the phase demolition of existing facilities and construction of a net primary septic and recirculation tanks, sand/gravel filter, new 1-story wood-framed building, connection to existing leach field, including the earthwork, concrete, structural steel, wood framing, roof accessories, sheet metal, hollow metal and wood doors, vinyl windows, hardware, glazing, interior finishing, plumbing, heating, electrical systems, interior and exterior lighting, communications systems, site utilities, concrete flat work, and paving. Two Alternate Bid Items are listed and are described below:
Alternate Bid Item No. 1: The roof structure over the filter bed consisting of the metal support columns, fiberglass reinforced plastic structural members and cladding including all necessary labor, supervision and materials as shown on the Plans. 2. Alternate Bid Item No. 2: a monitoring well consisting of a 20-foot 8-inch steel perforated casing, 4-inch PVC perforated monitoring well surrounded by 2 inches of sand pack will be installed in or around the existing leach field at the site as directed by the Contracting Officer.
Pre-proposal site visit will be held - time and place to follow in Solicitation. Price range: $250,000 to $500,000. Solicitation will be available for downloading from this website on or about Feb. 15, 2006.
