Default J. Bennett Johnston Waterway Sediment Barrier Wall Upgrade

This is an unrestricted procurement. The work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, materials and equipment, and constructing a steel H-pile support concrete sediment barrier wall with precast wall panels, electrical wiring and external lighting. Principle features of the work include mobilization and demobilization; clearing; demolition of existing treated timber barrier wall; excavation of silt and for the structure; excavating, stockpiling and replacing existing reprap; sand fill; gravel C backfill; cutting off existing H-piles; furnishing, delivering and driving additional steel H-piles; steel sheet piling; concrete footings, piers, wall panels and walkway panels; engineering fabric and reprap protection; lighting and electrical work; installation of signs; erosion control fertilizing, seeding and mulching; providing as-built drawings; storm water pollution protection and environmental protection. The Contractor shall conduct his operations in such a manner that the channel and lock shall safely and satisfactorily remain open to navigation traffic during the life of the contract. The value of the proposed work is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00. Plans and specifications will be available on the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) Web Page at Federal Business Opportunity. Bidders may register on the Interested Vendors List (IVL) at Federal Business Opportunity and retrieve an IVL from the same location. Compact disc and hardcopies will not be available. Bidders should check often for chang es (AMENDMENTS). Issue date on or about January 14, 2008. Bid opening date on or about February 14, 2008
