Default VA 10th Floor Space Alterations

The contractor is to provide materials and labor for space alterations to the Veteran’s Administration office located on the 10th floor of the Federal Building, 210 Walnut Street, Des Moines, Iowa. The work will include the renovation of approximately 8, 000 square feet of office space in an occupied federal building. The renovations will be completed in four phases. Areas of work will be vacant at the time of construction. This project consists of approximately 460 linear feet of partition demolition and associated electrical, phone and data removal. The contractor will need to provide approximately 150 linear feet of new partition, prepped and painted. The project also requires approximately 60 new data and phone lines and 20 new electrical connections and light re-circuiting. Carpet will be done under a different contract Work can be accomplished during normal business hours, after hours work is acceptable but not required. The contractor is to provide all materials not previously mentioned, labor, equipment, tools, management and supervision as required and needed for the completion of this project. The contract will have 45 days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed to complete the project. Estimated cost is $75,000 to $100,000. The contractor will be required to obtain a GSA security clearance for all individuals working on site. If you are interested in bidding this project respond by email no LATER THAN Friday, December 21, 2007 to cynthia.tabor@gsa.gov with your company name, contact person, address, phone number, fax number and DUNS number. You MUST state the Solicitation Number of GS-06P-08-TN-C-0005. Proposal packages will be mailed to interested parties after that date and will be sent on a disc unless a hard copy is requested. There will be a walk through of the project. This will be noted in your proposal packet. All proposals submitted must allow 90 days for GSA acceptance. THIS REQUEST FOR SOLICITATION DOES NOT OBLIGATE THE GOVERNMENT TO MAKE AN AWARD. According to FAR 4.11 ALL contractors MUST be registered in Central Contractor Registration [CCR],Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and Online Representations and Certification [ORCA],https://orca.bpn.gov, before having their bid evaluated.
