NASA GSFC/WFF plans to issue an Invitation for Bids (IFB) for Wallops Island Demolition of Building E-108 at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center, Wallops Flight Facility, Wallops Island, Virginia 23337. The scope of work for this project shall include, but is not limited to: Providing the labor, equipment and materials for the complete demolition of the 21,000 gross square foot Building E-108. Project includes removal of the building structure, building electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems, and removal of all other utilities. The project also includes the complete removal of slabs and/or foundations and for grading and grass seeding in the area where foundations and slabs are removed. The total price offered shall be the total price for work as shown on the specifications and drawings. The work shall be complete. It includes furnishing, as applicable, or may be required, all contractor’s plant, equipment, safety devices, labor, tools, materials, supplies, and services, and performing all operations necessary for or incidental to a complete project in conformance with the drawings and as set forth in the various sections of the specifications. The order of magnitude for the procurement is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000.00. The Requirement shall be completed within 120 calendar days after notice to proceed. The NAICS code for the procurement is 238910. The corresponding size standard is $13,000,000.00. This requirement will be solicited as a 100% set aside for small businesses. The anticipated release date of the IFB is on or about August 16, 2007 with an anticipated bid closing date of on or about September 18, 2007. The firm date for receipt of bids will be stated in the IFB. Bid packages containing specifications and drawings will be available at a nonrefundable cost of $100.00.
