Renovation of Family Service Center
Great Lakes Naval Station, Great Lakes, Illinois
Modify a vacant 28,490 square foot portion of the first and second floor of existing building. Correct all deficiencies in the utilities and life-safety systems for the entire building. As a minimum, but not limited to: 1) repair deteriorated walls, flooring, ceiling, windowsills, doors, washrooms, ceramic tile, toilet partitions, install office walls; 2) repair electrical systems to current code standards including removing and installing main electrical distribution panel; 3) repair/replace heating and air conditioning including air handler units on roof; 4) repair/ replace plumbing system to current code; 5) install elevator and exterior ramp in compliance with current ADA standards; 6) install a fire sprinkler/alarm system; 7) rehabilitation of the main north and south entrances to the building. As an optional item of construction work is the demolition of old occupied building.
