Southeast Facilities Service Office, U. S. Postal Service, is advertising for proposals for renovation of the existing space. Solicitation No: 123125-06-A-0029; Site Location: 4028 Little Road, Seven Springs Shopping Center. Construction Features: This proposal is for the renovation of existing space for a Temporary Carrier Annex in New Port Richey, FL containing 16,934 square feet at the Seven Springs Shopping Center. The work includes, but is not limited to, steel frame construction, concrete, masonry, carpentry, modified bitumen roofing, insulation, hollow metal doors, metal studs, gyp board, ceramic tile, resilient flooring, vinyl composition tile flooring, carpet, painting, store fixtures, landscaping, electrical mechanical, utilities and other work associated with postal facilities. Reference is made to Clause B-38, Accident Prevention. All construction work on projects must be performed in compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) of 1970. If the U. S. Postal Service is fined for OSHA violations caused by the contractor, the contractor shall pay the fine or reimburse the U. S. Postal Service for the amount of the fine. Small, minority-owned, and women-owned subcontracting participation is encouraged. The USPS subcontracting goals for this contract are minimums of 40% for small businesses (less than 500 employees), 10% for minority-owned businesses, and 7% for women-owned businesses in accordance with solicitation Section H.20. The Postal Service intends to award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose proposal, conforming to the solicitation, offers the best value to the Postal Service, considering price, price-related factors and other evaluation factors specified elsewhere in the solicitation. Proposal/Bid Bonds are not required, but letters from your bank & bonding company ARE part of the evaluation. Performance and Payment Bonds (100%) will be required from the successful offeror within 5 days of Notice of Intent to Award. Construction Time: 120 calendar days; Cost Range : $1,425,000 to $1,650,000. Approx. Issue Date: December 5, 2005. Receipt Date: January 11, 2006 at 3:00 p.m. EST. A Preproposal Conference is scheduled for December 21, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at 4028 Little Road, New Port Richey, FL. You are encouraged to attend.
