Default Demolition and Abatement of Buildings

Contractual Questions should be directed to Sherry Gulley at (912) 652-5981 or sherry.d.gulley@sas02.usace.army.mil; Technical Questions should be directed to Patrick Klever at (912) 767-2007 or patrick.t.klever@sas02.usace.army.mil. Modification to Contract W912HN-05-C-0062. The Contractor shall furnish all tools, labor, equipment, materials and incidentals in connection with the phased hazardous materials abatement and demolition of four WWII-era buildings as identified on the drawings and specifications. Work includes complete demolition and removal of buildings and foundations and select demolition of supporting pavement, site improvements, underground water and sewer utility lines, electrical and gas utilities servicing the existing building, and incidental related work, complete. Hazardous materials to be abated include (but are not limited to) asbestos, fluorescent lights and ballasts, lead, thermostats, smoke detectors, CO2 detectors, fire extinguishers, and compressed refrigerant gases. This contract action is for construction for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or to submit proposals. However, all proposals received within 30 days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely with the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of the Notice of Intent will normally be considered solely f or the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No contract award will be made on the basis of any response to this notice because the Synopsis of Intent shall not be considered a solicitation document.
