Default Ice Harbor Test Separator Demolition

SOLICITATION DOCUMENTS, INCLUDING DRAWINGS, WILL BE AVAILABLE ON THE FEDTEDS WEBSITE (www.fedteds.gov). The requirement is the demolition and removal of all of the concrete, steel, piping, and other miscellaneous material related to the out-dated fa cility, located at Ice Harbor Lock and Dam. All concrete above and below ground shall be removed. All steel above and below ground shall be removed. Other miscellaneous material such as PVC piping, hydraulic equipment etc. shall be removed. Some of the equipment will be salvaged and given to the dam facility, as specified. A tee and valve will be added as a means to connect a water supply source to add water to the main flume. This project will require modifications to the portion of the flume where t he separator attaches to the main flume. The main flume must be back in operation no later than March 1. Various electrical loads will be removed, requiring associated electrical controls and power features to be removed and/or partially modified. Some existing lighting, underground grounding features, underground electrical duct bank and associated features, existing receptacles of various types and all associated distribution equipment will remain. Some wire and electrical features will be removed bac k to source and conduit cut off at ground level and plugged or capped. Some electrical control cabinets associated with loads to be removed. Remove area lighting (wood pole mounted) along the north side of the separator (which interfere with access for d emolition). Relocate JR5 and transformer and reconnect remaining circuits. Relocate one of original light poles and base toward north and reroute branch circuit. Road resurfacing. Erosion repair near footings. ADMIN INFO: The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238910. Solicitation is 100% SMALL BUSINESS SET ASIDE. For the purposes of procurement, a concern is considered a small business if its annual average gross income d oes not exceed $13 million. In order for contractors to conduct business with the Department of Defense, the contractor must provide registration information to the Central Contractor Registration (CCR). Contractors can access the CCR for free at http: //www.ccr.gov. For contracting opportunities, visit the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) site, www.fbo.gov. This synopsis is not a request for bid, but a notice that a solicitation will be issued. Site visit information will be included in the solicitation. Solicitation will be issued on or about November 15, 2006.
