Renovation and Construction of Earthen Dikes
This project contains construction and renovation of earthen dikes, including water control structures for restoring wetlands in Colleton County, South Carolina. Major items of work includes approximately; 1.8 acres of seeding, sprigging and mulching for temporary cover; 1,250 cu yds of swale excavation; 5,300 cu yds. of earth fill for dikes; and 2.7 acres of clearing and grubbing. The project also includes furnishing and installing 1 (one) 48 inch riser and 24 inch barrel pipe; and furnishing and installing one (1) 24 inch riser and 18 inch barrel pipe. Performance time is 43 calendar days, including 10 days for mobilization. The estimated price is within the range of $25,000 to $100,000. The solicitation is subject to full and open competition. The NAICS code for this procurement is 237990. The solicitation will be available for viewing and/or downloading from the website, www.fedbizopps.gov, on about June 28, 2006. A meeting concerning the bidding process and contract requirements will be held at the Walterboro Field Office, 531 Robertson Blvd., Suite B, Walterboro, South Carolina on July 11, 2006 at 9:30 a.m. After a brief meeting, the group will leave for a tour of the work site.
