We are building a 52,000lb stellar hooklift on a 4 axle tractor and would like some feed back from other roll off owners on specing the cans. Does anyone use the 40-50 yd smooth exterior wall cans that taper on the bottom and how do they hold up? any info would be apreciated. we are starting with 4ea 20 yd concrete type cans and 4 ea 40 yd debris cans.
I have had mostly the 20-35 yarders. I personally have never heard any problems with them. I mean if you start packing any can with a machine well that's another thing.
I would recommend staying away from hooklifts. If you are hauling heavy boxes, the hooklift stinks. Stick with cables. They are stronger and more reliable. As for containers, I run all tubs. They are not as heavy duty, but loads stick less and they give you more space for advertising. Also, they are a touch lighter.
