Did anyone see the new wheeled bobcat excavator-E55W
BOBCAT has unveiled its first wheeled excavator said to have been designed to increase productivity and fuel efficiency.
The E55W provides a maximum dig depth of 3.5m, a maximum dump height of 4.3m and a maximum reach at ground level of 5.9m.
The excavator weighs 5.5t and is powered by a Yanmar 40.8kW diesel engine. The company says the engine’s electronic injection and automatic idle provide optimum fuel efficiency.
According to the manufacturer, one 120L fuel fill will last two full working days in the machine.
The unit is said to be quiet, with an external noise level of 97dBA and an in-cab level of 76dBA. The cab is fitted with a centrally positioned instrument panel that provides a comprehensive overview of the machine’s status.
The company says the excavator is easily maintained, with radiator and cooler access made easy and a large capacity radiator which provides high performance in severe and continuous operations.
