Default Wacker Neuson launches two powerful new skid-steer loaders

Both models come with the full range of standard features plus a host of optional extras

Wacker Neuson has expanded its portfolio of high-grade skid-steer loaders to include two new models, the 901s and 1101c. Both machines deliver a wide range of proven features as standard and can be equipped with a range of optional extras to meet individual customer requirements. Both models were designed to take performance, speed, safety and ease of operation to the next level.

Outstanding feature set
The 901s and the 1101c are equipped with numerous tried-and-tested standard features. “This allows us to provide machines capable of meeting the most demanding customer expectations at an entry-level price,” explains Andreas Gstöttenbauer, Product Manager for skid-steer loaders at Wacker Neuson. “Both loaders feature two drive speeds as standard. This accelerates the workflow and facilitates redeployment to the next site.” The extensive range of features for basic models also includes load limit sensing control. This ensures that the engine always operates within the optimum speed range. Float positioning and bucket self-leveling are also included as standard. Float positioning is ideal for working with attachments guided along ground level, while bucket self-leveling ensures that the bucket always remains parallel to the ground when lifting loads. This is particularly useful when working with a pallet fork attachment.

Power and stability
The 901s wheel skid-steer loader has a bucket capacity of up to 907 kg. This performance is powered by a 2011 Deutz diesel engine, available with or without turbo charging (68 or 86 hp). In the second drive speed, it can reach speeds of up to 18 km/h. The 1101c track skid-steer loader has a maximum bucket capacity of 1150 kg. Equipped with the 86-hp version of the 2011 Deutz diesel engine, this model has a top speed of 12 km/h. Both loaders meet EPA TIER III emissions standards. The 1101c’s track footprint ensures that its weight is distributed across a large surface area, keeping ground disturbance to a minimum. This makes it ideal for work on soft, sandy surfaces. Due to its exceptional stability, the 1101c remains firmly on the ground even when using heavy attachments.

Spacious cabin provides safety and protection
The extremely spacious cabin is designed for easy driver access. It can be tilted forward and – when the boom is raised - allows the engine to be easily accessed for maintenance work. “Safety is a defining feature of Wacker Neuson skid-steer loaders. The new ROPS/FOPS level II certified cabin is standard equipment and now allows our machines to be deployed in hazardous areas on building sites. This is certainly not something that all manufacturers can offer,” adds Gstöttenbauer. As with all Wacker Neuson skid-steer loaders, a safety bar and retractable seat belt are part of the standard equipment.

Optional extras
The base models are equipped with a universal quick-hitch system, enabling Wacker Neuson skid-steer loaders to be quickly refitted for new challenges. A hydraulic quick-hitch system for attachments is also available. Customers can also choose from a range of different tires and track widths, thus ensuring that their machines are equipped for any situation. Both models are going into series production at the same time. The first loaders will be rolling off the production line at the beginning of May 2008. Together with the well-established 501s, 701s and 701sp skid-steer loaders, the Wacker Neuson skid-steer loader portfolio now offers a bucket capacity extending from 510 kg to 1150 kg. This range covers 75 percent of the European skid-steer loader market.

About Wacker Neuson:

With over 30 affiliates and more than 180 sales and service stations across the globe, the new company offers an unparalleled product portfolio. All products manufactured by the new organization will in future be branded Wacker Neuson. The exceptions to this in Europe are Kramer all-wheel loaders and the Weidemann brand, which will be retained and further developed for the agricultural industry.
