Tools, Equipment, & AttachmentsHave you heard about the latest tool or piece of equipment? Do you have any favorites? Whether it's hydraulic, air, electrical, or mechanical that uses grapples, hammers, shears or wrecking balls, you can talk about all of it here.
I have operated the old propane powered terminator, and I wondered if anyone has operated the new electric powered terminator, if so what do you think of it.
There is a demo contractor here that is using a Bronco electric machine and he loves it. He is debating on getting another one and selling his propane Terminator. The Bronco runs circles around his Terminator.
Thanks for the input, do you know how well his Bronco works on ceramic tile? and do you know the dimensions of that machine. I searched for it and cannot find any measurements or weights on it.
From what he has told me in the past that it did wonders on ceramic tile. I will give him a call and confirm it.
I not sure how he directly markets it, I think he puts it in their bid that he would be using it on that particular job and your not going to have to worry about a propane leak, running out of propane, etc.
I'll get right back at both of ya here in a little bit.
Okay, I just got off the phone with him and this is what he had to say:
The Bronco runs circles around the Terminator when it comes to carpet and VCT, on hardwoods and ceramic it does "struggle" due to it's weight. Although they do have an new Bronco that weights more and you could get some more weight on the Bronco.
On the marketing it, it states he really doesn't market it. Like I said he mainly puts it in his bid. He states it's sometimes difficult to use it, because some contractors don't want to have their electrician hook up the required power. Although he has found someone to perform the hook-up on an on-call basis.
Thankyou I have a bid out to tear up 140000sqft of tile and I have been looking at the terminator. then getting a diamond cutter to clean the surface up. The only thing that they only let you use electric and the terminator has 120 plug in when the bronco has 220. My only other question is how does he move the material from inside the building to the truck when they only will let you use eletric?
