Rammer name to disappear
One of the leading names in hydraulic hammers will disappear with the rebranding of Rammer, part of the Sandvik group of companies.
With immediate effect, all products produced by the more than 15 companies in the Sandvik group will be sold under the Sandvik name, sporting a new orange, white and gray colour scheme. Existing model names and designations will remain the same for the foreseeable future. Rammer products will therefore now be badged as Sandvik with the current designation, e.g. Sandvik G130 City
After a two year transition period, all new product launches will make use of a Sandvik wide model letter/number designation structure, which is currently under development.
According to the company, the goal is to provide customers with easy recognition and uniformity across the various product ranges produced by the group, as well as a “visibly unified company and product range”. A “common look” is currently under development for all the Group’s products, equipment and packaging.
Sandvik believes that, despite the loss of some famous names in the construction/mining equipment sectors, such as Rammer, Tamrock et al, this new single voice and identity will create a clear position for it in the marketplace, making it easier for customers to choose its products. In addition, the single branding is expected to create a better impact and ease of recognition.
