Sheesh, seems to me they used the wrong crane for that type of job. The boom was to far out over the edge. Probably would have been better to use one on a barge.
Probably the natural buoyancy of the bus gave the operator a false feeling and when he was closer to the surface the full weight loaded on the crane. He's lucky to be alive.
