Oshkosh purchases JLG for $3.2 billion
Oshkosh Truck will acquire JLG Industries, an industry leader in aerial work platforms and telehandler vehicles, for $3.2 billion in cash. Oshkosh is to obtain all outstanding shares of JLG for $28 per share.
Upon completion of the transaction, JLG will become the largest of Oshkosh’s four business segments. Oshkosh estimates that JLG will represent approximately 40 percent of its consolidated sales and operating income in 2008.
