The Association of Equipment Manufacturers has updated its skid steer safety manual to cover compact track loaders as well, and is now offering a bilingual Spanish-English version. AEM designed the manual for operators, maintenance personnel and other jobsite workers.

Skid-steer loader manufacturers as well as AEM’s compact loader/compact excavator council did research for the manual.

The booklet consists of illustrations, do’s and don’ts and simple language. The manual covers daily situations, such as normal operation and maintenance. It also includes general safety tips, start-up and shutdown guidelines and operating and maintenance precautions. AEM says its manual is for supplement use, not for replacing manufacturer operating manuals.
