    Default Used antique brick

Any market for used brick? We have a house that's full of brick and looking to find a buyer instead of burying it.

They're over 100 years old and located between Chicago and St. Louis. The entire house is brick exterior and interior walls, fireplace, and limestone block foundation. I haven't seen the house yet, an associate is doing some developing at the site and we are involved in some of the demo.

At least they have a value over here in Norway. Im starting on a project monday, where we have to pick down the old bricks carefully for further use later (another contract). The new brick stones is waste. Old brick is better than the moderns.

How old is that brick that you are going to pick off the building in Norway? What kind of building is it? Any other interesting salvage coming out of the demo?

They are from around 1920s and up to 6m tall.
We will pick down the bricks with rotator grabs and put in some containers. Luckily some others will do the removal of the mortar.
Wolf: we will also salvage some old stones used in the foundation and the roofing stones.

I can post some pics from the projects when started

That is some very nice older brick! It looks to have weathered well the last 90years. I would love to have some of that but I am sure shipping would be a killer!

There are Co's that crush it and use it as landscaping decoration. Just a suggestion!
