Does any body know if the scrap yard take BX and what they are paying? I have to give Metal Mangement a call in the morning

Some do. How much you get depends on the type whether it is LTL or TL. It is a pain to deal with. The last lot we sold we got .72 for the LTL. The TL was selling for .89 lb

I checked my notes this morning and we the stuff we took to the scrap yard was a 3 core cable and weighed .75 per foot.

BX is electrical cable that has paper-wrapped copper wire inside a metal jacket.

If you call it BX you are kinda showing your age. Nowadays they call it AC for Armoured Cable

And as another sidenote be cautious if the BX is labelled Okonite because there is a good chance it contains a layer of asbestos
