Does anyone save to recycle suspended ceiling tiles? Somewhere I think i remember reading that there was someone buying them painting them and reselling them??? doug

Only when it was required. If they are Armstrong tiles, you can send them to Armstrong for recycling. Here is more information on that program.

I haven't seen a company around here that paints and resells them. Interesting idea, but I am not sure if they could be reused in a new environment, I would think for warranty purposes.

I work for a demo contractor in connecticut and i have recycled ceiling tiles before .. i worked with armstrong on that but you typically need 40,000 square feet of tile to have them take it. It also has to be palletized and shrink wrapped.

Thank demopro. I have 8000 sq ft ceiling i can palletize then wait for another job. I did get some info that i needed full trailer loads to be able to get rid of them. doug

That really is the best way, as long as you can store it.

Hi Doug!

At least here in Finland, about 50% of the ceeling tiles have asbestos in them! keep that in mind when you start reselling them
