I read this in the newspaper today. A British study has discovered that the chances of childhood leukemia increase 69% for kids who live 200+/- ft. from high voltage lines. The power companies are thinking about buying up all the structures within a certain distance of the lines and demolishing them.
Can you imagine what would happen if they had to do this in the US? The Brits aren't even 1/5 th as litigious as the Americans and they are still worried about lawsuits.
