For every 3 or 4 Fiction novels I read, I force myself to read one technical or non fiction book. I am reading one now that is really good. It's entitled "Explosives Loading of Engineered Structures" by PS Bulson. Being in the explosives demolition business for 20 years, I learned the why's and wherefores but I have never seen them all put together under one cover before. While it concentrates on explosives loading a lot of the book is applicable to conventional demolition too.
I find myself reading lots of books on leadership/motivation and a technical one every once in awhile.

I looked for the book on Amazon.com and eBay. Man that is one expensive book. But if you recommend it, I might have to order it. It looks like he has written some other interesting books also.
I am currently reading: How to Win and Influence People - Dale Carnegie
So far I am about halfway and being an older book a lot still holds true today and I would say this is a must read for all.
Maybe a new topic may be in order on what technical books are must reads.
Here is another good book but it isn't available until November 22. (My friend works at Random House and wanted me to preview it) It's called "Rubble" by Jeff Byles and is about the history of demolition.
I was listening to the radio the other day and they had Frosty Westering on and I will tell you that what a great motivator. He has a new book out and this is my new book I will be starting:
A little bit about the Coach:
Retired college football coach, Frosty Westering, does exactly what his popular motivational book is all about - He Makes the Big Time Where He Is. He is an outstanding communicator and motivates people of all ages with his Big Time message. His enthusiastic, upbeat style helps people feel good about themselves as they learn how to Make The Big Time Where They Are.
Frosty happens to be one of the top ten winningest coaches in college football history. He is a member of a highly select group of outstanding coaches who have won over 300 games including the likes of Eddie Robinson - Grambling; Pop Warner - University of Chicago; Amos Alonzo Stagg - Stanford; Bear Bryant - Alabama; Joe Paterno - Penn State; and Tom Osborne - Nebraska. He finished his coaching career with 305 victories and a winning percentage of .761. His teams won four national college division championships and he has been three time national coach of the year.
