No offense, but I am glad there are over. I hate having them say "live" on some of the events when the event was 6 hours prior. Plus I can't stand Bob Costas, one of the most annoying people on TV Sports.
It will be nice to have the regular programming back on, Like The Tonight Show.
I agree that the advancement of technology takes of away from some of the olympic sizzle. When you log onto to your computer for the day and see the results for an event that will be aired later that day.
I still do love the spirit of competition and seeing USA atop the medal standings. Hearing stories of everyday people that are the best in the world at their sport still inspires me.

I missed the Olympics this year. A couple of us took a little over a month off and rode motorcycles from California to Panama. After teh first of the year we are going to do a second leg from Panama to Patagonia.
Ya I remember being excited during the 84 Games. Not so much anymore. Maybe the thrill is gone because of the advances in technology; internet, cellphones, TIVO...before that you had to watch the evening news or read the paper for the results. I was at a Boy Scout camp back in 84 and we would do everything we could to get the find out who the medal winners were. We got back during the last 3 days of the Games and I was glued to the TV as much as possible. Hopefully Chicago will get a chance to host the games in the future, the amount of work will be incredible for construction and demolition in the Chicagoland area. WOO-HOOO!
