That was a pretty interesting show.

Amazing how many little crawl spaces there were and that big guy climbing through them.

It looks like it landed perfect. That is the one thing I never heard is how it landed.

Here is the original story story on the site from when it first happened. It also includes some links to stories and some pictures.

Well, if you missed it there will be another one shortly. The RFP for abatement and scuttling of the USNS Forestall is coming out later this week.
It was the USN's first super carrier. It was the one that was stationed off the coast of Viet NAm during the war and a fighter pilot accidently shot off a rocket on deck and it was a direct hit into a 40,000 gallon tank of aviation fuel.
They are going to scuttle it off the coast in the Atlantic.

I remember reading about that incident ; is this going to be a diveable site or is there that much info yet?

It's been nixed as a dive site. The Navy says there are still things about it that have some strategic importance. The thing was built in 1950's so I have no idea what that could be. So it looks like it is going to be a fishing reef at about 200'-250' deep.
The Forrestal was snake bit from the git go. It had numerous crashes on it's decks and several fires. I think it is presently sitting at the Philadelphia Naval Yard.
