Default How does the rest of your year look?

What is your company's outlook for the rest of the year?

So far so good. As long as the diesel prices don't go up anymore!

Well the rest of my year looks alot better than the first half. When the year began, we didn't have anything on the books.

Since then we have completed a selective interior/exterior demo, a couple of concrete tear out's and replace, a couple of small commercial site jobs, some high end residential work and some interior commercial building.

I have 2 small houses to tear down, bid 2 interior demo's and rebuild this week and started a good size site work job this week for a hotel. I have also picked up the site prep work for a fast-food chain that is building 5 new stores around my neck of the woods.

The major problem is fuel of course. It seems that I am working twice as hard and making 1/2 the money I was.

I see a lot of commercial work out there right now but the residential market is slowwww.

Looking good so far, I am working on a site work/lot build back and have picked up a maintenance contract that will last for three years, so at least there is some cash flow guaranteed.

I agree on the fuel though, its killing me.

I have 2 jobs on the books that I bid 2 months ago when Diesel was around $3.80 a gallon now its pushing $4.25 a gallon and the jobs don't start for another month. After all the fence is installed, phase 2's are done and abatement is finished and I get to tear down the buildings Diesel will be around $4.35 a gallon and my profits will be wittled down from the high fuel costs.

I have received a few e-mails and everyone is stating the same. The 2nd half looks a lot better than the first.
