I got rid of my laptop after doing several 5 cities in 4 days business trips. I took a look at what I was really using my laptop for and it didn't make any sense to lug it around airports, go through the hassle of security and have to worry about having it stolen just for checking e-mails, internet access and editing documents and schedules.
So I got rid of it and purchased a smartphone. It enables me to check e-mails, surf the internet, and it also has Word,Project, Excell, Powerpoint and Adobe Acrobat plus I have worldwide cellphone access and it fits in my pocket!
I was running into to many problems with Vista, and I know I am not the only one.
James! you are sooooo right on that one! my company doesn't even have a vacum cleaner that sucks as much as vista...
I feel stupid when i payed over 100 for this system, that doesn't even work
I thought it was coming pretty soon. But the will keep with the patches and updates, I would say at least til 2012. A majority of people are still using xp.
Since they will be releasing a new Service Pack 3 early this summer, I think it will be around for some time.
I had to kill some time today at the airport so I picked up the current issue of Popular Mechanics. They ran both the MAc and a Gateway PC through a bunch of grueling tests and the Mac won. The Mac is substantially faster. They said the difference was due to Leopard being so much better than Vista.
