Default Contracts

Anyone have any iron clad contracts or where we could get one from to help us out?

Iron clad? Good luck that, there's too many overpaid lawyers out there.

Seriously, try using the AIA (American Institute of Architects) format.

AIA Contract Documents

They have a wide variety of contracts/subcontracts.

Good luck.

Ditto on the AIA forms. That being said, if a contract can be written, it can be broken.

I agree with everyone else, contracts will never be iron clad.

I also know the AGC - The Associated General Contractors of America - Home has a pretty fair written contract for both parties.

I think the best contracts for demolition contractors are the American Subcontractors Association (ASA) contracts because 9 times out of 10 the demolition contractor is acting as a sub.

AIA is great if you want to spend your whole time crossing stuff out and you have to pay each time you use the contract or you face the possibility of a huge lawsuit. The AIA recently (11/7) changed their contracts
