Does anyone start work without their contract?

As requested by an earlier post!

So do you require the contract, or get something else in writing or is just a verbal good enough for you?

I will not commence any work without a signed proposal or purchase order. I will mobilize but no actula work will start.

I will start with a letter of intent or signed proposal

That's what I figured. It's definitely the right thing to do.
