I have used a Mac once, but it was for less than a day. So I can't comment on them to much. It was different, but only because I was so used to a MS Windows running machine.

I do know a lot of people that do use them, but those who do are more web designers and graphic artist.

I'm in the same boat, I used on years ago for about two days and I had the same reaction. I want to do more CAD based work and I was thinking it might be better, but most engineers I know (my own brother included) are using PC with AutoCAD so it may be a moot point.
