Default Debris Removal

I have been awarded a job at an old hotel which is 7 stories high and debris removal is going to be a giant pain. Only 2 sides of the building are accessible and on one of the accessible sides there will be a crane and a stagng area for new steel, on the other they will be erecting curtain wall. While this is all goin on i cannot chute off either side of the building. Does anyone have any ideas as how debris can be removed from the job without walking it all the way down 14 flights of stairs or stockpiling? All ideas are welcomed no matter how far fetched they may sound.

Much appreciated - Chris

You could use an abandoned duct chase, elevator shaft or depending on how the interior stairs are designed I have placed chutes down the middle.

Do the new mechanical or structural drawings show any new duct chases or shafts?

You may just have to arrainge a coordination meeting with the GC and all other subs and present your case. Let them know demo subs are just as critical in a project and deserve the proper space to complete our work safely and profitably. Is it possible to load out off hours when the staging area is not active or the curtain wall sub is gone?

Staging all of our debris and removing on Saturdays seems to be the best bet i just dont want to get killed on OT for sending guys in on Saturdays.

I was alos thinkin about using a lull and some tip hoppers to remove but i think it will only reach the 6th floor at best

Might be tough to get a weeks worth of demo out in one day. Depending on crew size etc., containers available, transfer station / dump hours on Sat.

To update everyone what i think we are going to do is get 44' ladder hoists with 400lb capacity and runnign the debris down to a lwer roof and pitching it off from there. I appreciate all the replies.
