CCI is a nation wide environmental contractor with a large industrial demolition, decommissioning, and dismantling division. We have offices located from the Southeast stretching out to our newest office in Houston, Texas. We are currently in the process of building our team in the Houston & New Orleans office and looking for exceptional project estimators/coordiators. Below is a list of the qualifications that we are looking for and some of the responsibilities that you would be tasked with. (Looking for the New Orleans & Houston area office)
Qualifications:
1. Must have a minimum of 5 years experience with estimating demolition, dismantling and decommissioning projects. We are looking for individuals that have current ties/experience to the following industries:
• Heavy Industry
• Manufacturing
• Petrochemical Facilities
• Fossil & Nuclear Power Production
• Foundries & Steel Making Factories
• Raw Product Production (Aluminum, Oil, Natural Gas, etc.)
2. Good understanding of computer and construction programs Word, Excel, daily reports, expense reports, and the ability to read/understand working drawings and construction documents.
3. Excellent listening skills and have strong communication skills
4. Effective participation in team environment
5. Clean driving record.
6. Ability to pass a drug test (at anytime).
7. Ability to have good face to face interaction with clients.
8. Must have experience with demolition, rigging and excavation estimating
9. Must have knowledge and understanding of unit costs and the factors that affect construction/demolition costs.
10. Ability to prepare detailed instructions to bidders, trade specific clarifications and comprehensive bid packages.
11. Must be prepared to participate and often lead the preparation and presentation of cost / budget information to the Owner.
Responsibilities:
1. Start and complete designated projects.
2. Asset/Investment Recovery
3. Preparing detailed cost estimates from site walks and bid documents
4. Interaction with senior project management & operations
5. Planning the work plans.
6. Facilitate an Integrated Safety Management (ISM) atmosphere.
7. Must maintain a self critical mentality and accept observations/help from others of how to improve your own work skills.
8. Must thoroughly believe all work can be performed safely, without accidents or injuries in order to obtain a ZERO INJURY/ZERO ACCIDENT GOAL
