ES&H Manager for Decommissioning Project Northeast
In search of Environmental Safety & Health Manager for Large Scale Decommissioning Project located in the Lower Hudson Valley of New York State (outside New York City).
The project involves the complete Environmental Remediation, Cleanup and Demolition of a Former Coal Fired Power Plant. The project is just beginning now and is targeted for completion by the third quarter of 2009. Start of work can be immediate.

- IH, CIH, CSP Certifications
PROJECT DUTIES
Full time onsite Environmental Manager at the project location, will report directly to the Corporate Environmental Director and Onsite Demolition Manager.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills a must.
Will interface with onsite Decommissioning Consultants, offsite Environmental Consultants, and the Owners Environmental staff.
Will manage and oversee onsite environmental sampling for numerous environmental constituents including but not limited to asbestos, lead, silica, dust, heavy metals, hydrocarbons, VOCs, etc.
Must be knowledgeable of Air, Soil, and Water sampling, and able to correlate Regulations with best recommended Sampling strategies, techniques, and analysis.
Ability to organize lab data, analyze results and correlate information for compliance with environmental regulations. Prepare reports and statistical analysis of results.
Coordinate environmental sampling and facilitate regulatory issues with applicable agencies.
REQUISITE EXPERIENCE
Minimum 20 years experience with On-Site Management of Environmental Remediation projects.
Minimum 5 years experience working in Decommissioning, Dismantling, Environmental Remediation, Demolition, and D&D projects.
