    Default New from Texas

Hey everyone! I'm a videographer from the Dallas, TX area. I have no experience in demolition, but I have no quibbles with filming stuff being blown up. :-P

Joined mainly to get insight into any Texas area demolitions. I recently squired a low end high speed video camera, right about the time I heard that the Texas Stadium was going to be blown up. I've filmed various things blowing up in slow motion and have posted them online (some of which have gained quite a view count).

Having filmed smaller things being destroyed, I though it would be fun to also film the demolition of the Texas stadium. I haven't had the chance to film a building demolition, so I think that would be something exciting to both see and record.

Oh, and you can see one of my videos below.

    Hi Jeremiah,

Welcome to the forum. We're glad you have come a part of it. There are plenty of folks from Texas here to let you know of any upcoming projects.

Please let us know if you have any questions.

Ok, I guess my next question would be where I can find out what stuff's being demolished locally. I'd prefer stuff being blown up, as it looks better. As I said, I'm in the Dallas area.

Well as most people in the industry will tell you, implosions only represent about 1% of the wrecking projects out there. Actually if you get a good company you will find that recording a wrecking project with a good operator is more impressive than any implosion out there.
Look at one of the fellow members sites Steve D and he has some amazing footage.

    Welcome
