well my name is Bob,I have been in the demo business when I was 8 yrs old going out with Art Jones ,a well know demo contractor in central california, I worked for him and well was running equipment since I was 13 yrs old,I have had Gopher Wrecking & Demolition Salvage co. for 12 yrs. we specialize in all types of demo,interior/exterior,strip outs, complete residental,commercial, oil and industrial plant demolition. we have a full line of excavators(from15 to 50 ton) , specialized tracked skid steers, with Genisis shears, breakers and grapples. we offer roll -off service and 24 hr recover clean up,...commercial truck accident recovery and mop up,and fire clean up.We have been in the petroleum industry for 10 yrs,... doing retrofits and up grades on fueling stations all over California ,Nevada ,Arizona,and Washington states.We have done many large projects including Mesa Marin Raceway, a 1/2 mile oval race track,made March/April 2006 "Demolition Magazine" story. also land clearing of farm labor camp in Arvin ,Ca also known for "dust bowl era" where migrants from Oklahoma settled in California.we also do large amounts of scrap metal processing and concrete pulverizing. well that is alittle about me . feel free to contact me on any questions. thanks, Bob
Interesting background. What did you do in connection with land clearing of farm labor camp in Arvin ,Ca also known for "dust bowl era" where migrants from Oklahoma settled in California? Did you actually take out the old labor camp from the Depression days? What kind of structures were remaining there when you came in? Do you have any pictures of that? Would love to see the pictures of that, or of any other demo that you may have.

well I came in and demolished all the housing that was built in the early 50's, and removed 116 sycamore trees that had been there from the start.there was a original school house and a post office and one other building that was there and they were from the original 1930's. they were left for a historical peservation but I do have photos of it coming down!I made a show that comes on PBS called "california gold", there is accually footage of me on my excavator demolishing structures. I have photo's of most of my bigger demolition jobs. like the bakersfield sign , the "strech & sew building down town, rc cola, mesa marin, the round house for BNSF. and so on!
