Default New to forum

Hello everyone. I am new to the forum but not new to the construction/engineering industry. I have been a professional engineer (Civil/Structural background) in Michigan and Wisconsin for almost 15 years and have dealt with several demo projects so far in my limited career. I will say that I look forward to demo work everytime I get a chance to take part. Lord knows it is more fun (at least for me) to bring things down...

I am currently branch manager/senior engineer for an Environmental/Civil Engineering Firm with an office in Houghton, Michigan. I will be placing a request of for bids for a project in Iron River, MI in the next few days and was wondering if this would be a good site to post this request, if allowed. The project entails abatement and demolition work for a 100 year old school building in Iron River. I do not know much about this site but I would like to know if this is somewhere I can post a request for bids (if anyone is interested in work in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan). Please let me know if this is something that is done on this site and whether or not anyone would be interested in work in this neck of the woods. We will be posting the add for bids in the standard places throughout Michigan and Wisconsin but I was just curious if this forum provides another opportunity to post this type of add?

Please let me know and I look forward to contributing in any way that I can to this forum.

Thanks.
Dennis

I am not sure of the forum rules , but i believe you could post your request in the "Upcoming projects / bids - requested" section of this forum. Good luck. doug
