Default International Paper Mill implosion

Demolition crews are preparing for an implosion at the old International Paper Mill site in Gardiner.

The old paper mill site sits right along Highway 101, just north of Reedsport. The Stanton Company will be imploding the site's 12-story power building, which has sat dormant and idle since 1998.

The implosion is set for
7:00am on Saturday, May 6th.

One of Staton's laborers, Dennis, came within 2 feet. Victor, one of CDI's torchmen, came within 10 feet, and I was a distant third about 20 feet away.
All for the whopping sum of $60.

I like to thank Staton Companies for the opportunity and commend them on kickin' butt in getting the structures ready.
