Default Phila gets $44 million to fight blight buildings

Philadelphia won $44 million in federal stimulus money to rebuild neighborhoods by refurbishing foreclosed housing, knocking down blighted buildings, and creating appealing rental developments.

Sounds like a good amount of money, and a project to knock down over 50 vacant structures.

That's great. There are a lot of blighted buildings there. Good news all around.
