An old highway bridge in Providence, RI will be demolished starting next week. The Interstate 195 bridge over Wickenden Street will be taken down as part of the state’s massive and expensive highway relocation project.

State transportation officials say the demolition will start this weekend and will take roughly one week to complete. The work will take place during the overnight hours.
