Demolition continues at Rensselaer Ironworks building
Work continues today to bring down the former Rensselaer Ironworks building in South Troy, NY after a weekend fire destroyed most of it on Sunday.
Troy city officials said it will take some time before the entire building is knocked down and the area is cleaned.
Mayor Harry Tutunjian said the city wasted no time beginning the demolish process because the building was structurally unsafe.
DiTonno & Sons of Albany is completing the work.
