Man crushed at demolition company
A man has died after he was crushed by heavy machinery at a demolition company near Glasgow.
The 68-year-old was working at Whiteinch Demolition in Bishopbriggs, when a piece of machinery fell on him.
Emergency services were called out, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators from the Health and Safety Executive have begun examining the area.
An HSE spokesman said: "We are aware of the fatality and are investigating the circumstances surrounding it.
"We will prepare a report for the procurator fiscal when our investigation is complete."
The site, on Balmuildy Road, specializes in recycling building materials, including timber and steel for re-use in the construction industry.
