Universal Wrecking Corp. (UWC), a premier demolition contractor that operates on a nationwide basis, recently celebrated their 10th year in business.

Steve Vesseli, President started UWC 10 years ago with the concept of providing a complete suite of services to clients instead of just being known as specialty contractor. His goal was to create a company that not only could provide demolition services but also other complimentary services including concrete crushing, scrap metal recycling and salvage.

UWC’s first projects were smaller projects but UWC treated each client like a larger entity and this helped them build their reputation in the industry. Over the years, UWC continued to grow doing larger projects and building up a sizeable fleet of equipment.

An example of the type and size of project UWC can now perform is the demolition of a large hospital in Point Pleasant, New Jersey. The project was on the waterfront so extreme care had to be taken with regards to environmental issues. The project was multi-faceted and included total demolition of the hospital, asbestos abatement of all asbestos containing materials, onsite concrete crushing, equipment salvage and scrap metal recycling. The project was completed without issue, on schedule and the client was extremely pleased with the professional work accomplished.
