yeah it's good to see those nasty projects coming down across the country. big mistake the cities made putting them up in the 60s and 70s.

Not just across the country but across the world. A lot of cities try to turn it into a local political issue but public housing has failed worldwide. There are something like 150 housing blocks to come down in Scotland and about half that in England in the next year or so. Singapore has 60 coming out for bid shortly. France has a couple of hundred and I read in one of the construction journals that 500 are scheduled to be demolished in Moscow starting this year.
