Firm to Be Hired For Armory Demolition Plans
The old Armory building in Elmira, NY will get a step closer to disappearing from downtown.
Elmira's City Council is expected to vote on paying more than $54,000 to a Rochester engineering firm.
They could be asked to design plans on demolishing the Armory and Drill Hall in Downtown Elmira.
Because of the Armory's size and proximity to City Hall and Elm Chevrolet, plans need to be created to show how workers should go about destroying the building.
