Demolition of GM Plants Approved

Demolition of two local General Motors plants could begin by the end of the month. Lansing Township officials approved a demolition plan for the former GM Lansing Crafte Center and the metal fabricating plant. If GM agrees to the plan, destruction of the plants could begin by February 20th. The plan requires the automaker to restore the land with grass and sidewalks along the perimeter.
